How do I join ICES?
You can join with cash or check at your local Day of Sharing, or join online at www.ICES.org with a credit card.

What is “DOS” and "WOS"?
Missouri ICES meets two times a year for Days of Sharing.  These are one day events planned to encourage and inspire with new and sometimes even old ideas of enjoying the sugar arts.  Meetings are held in different areas of the state to include everyone and make travel a little easier for everyone.  Demonstrations of new products, sharing of ideas, and fellowship together are the main features of the day.

Approximately every 18 months we have a Weekend of Sharing, which is two days packed full of demonstrations, vendors and lots of fun.  Weekends of Sharing are held on Sundays and Mondays.

Do I have to be an ICES member to attend the Chapter's Day of Sharing (DOS)?
You do not have to be a member to attend a chapter meeting however, our "policy" is typically "first time a visitor, second time a member." We invite you to come to a meeting and check us out − see if you want to be a part of ICES and MO ICES.

Can I be a member of another state's ICES group?
Your ICES membership is based on the state in which you reside. While you are certainly welcome and encouraged to attend other states' Days of Sharing, your membership will be based in the state where you live.

Can I bring a guest/non-member with me to a Day of Sharing?
Absolutely. Anyone is welcome − members and guests alike.

Can I bring children with me to a Day of Sharing?
Minor children are welcome but must behave in an adult manner. Children are encouraged to become an associate member which requires parental permission. There is a "youth" price for admission.  Please contact the MO ICES State Representative for more information.

Do I have to pre-register?
It is highly recommended to pre-register for Days of Sharing. Lunch is catered, so the correct count is important. Contact the State Representative for registration information.

Why is there an Auction?
Auctions are a way to raise money for the Chapter. We have the Rep’s Auction to defray the costs for our Representatives to go to convention and the mid-year meeting.

How does the Rep's Auction work?
Bring things of interest to donate to the Chapter, cake or non-cake related.  A ticket price [$.25 - $1.00] will be assigned to the item and people who wish to win that item put a ticket (or several) of the assigned price into a plastic container.  The winner is drawn in the afternoon and the winning ticket is taped to the container.  The winner picks up the prize at the end of the day.

What if I have a large amount of items I would like to sell?
At most events, there is physical space available for vendor tables.  The tables are approximately 6 x 2-1/2 ft and can be rented by anyone wanting to sell their items.  If you are a participating demonstrator for the event, the first table is free and additional tables are $25.00 each.  If not, the first table is $30 and each additional table is $30.  All sales proceeds are kept by the vendor.  Contact the MO ICES Representative for information about how to reserve a table.

If I have questions, how do I contact the Missouri ICES State Representative?
